A practical checklist for your team's next handover.

  1. STEP 01

Use a separate agreement for each service visit

A historical signature should not silently become consent to a different visit. Each consent should identify the current pet, owner, service and applicable terms.

  2. STEP 02

Personalise to the pet and the actual service

Pet health, coat condition, medication and handling precautions change. Include conditional clauses and let the merchant record the individual agreement without rewriting the entire template every time.

  3. STEP 03

    Make important choices explicit

Separate essential care terms from optional image marketing permission. Show material amendments clearly and ask for a new signature after a substantive change.

  4. STEP 04

Treat signature storage as a serious obligation

Preserve the exact signed text, template version, signer, timestamp and signature record. Production deployment also needs identity verification, durable encrypted storage, backups, retention rules and jurisdiction-specific legal review.
