A practical checklist for your team's next handover.

  1. STEP 01

Ask for the outcome, not only the photo

A reference photo may show another breed, coat type or a professionally maintained style. Ask what the owner likes about it: face shape, overall length, ears, tail or a particular finish.

  2. STEP 02

Check the coat and handling needs

Before starting, discuss matting, skin sensitivity, known allergies, handling triggers, previous grooming difficulties and any limits on the service. Additional work or changes should be communicated transparently.

  3. STEP 03

    Document the selected look

Record the agreed coat length, face style, ear and tail choices, price expectations and estimated pickup window. Use the visit-specific consent to reflect relevant risks and options.

  4. STEP 04

    End with a useful handover

Explain the outcome, aftercare suggestions and any observed sensitivities. Keep photos and notes linked to the appointment so the next groomer does not have to start the conversation from scratch.
