GROOMING SETUP GUIDE

A smoother salon day, one step at a time.

Set up services, plan staff and equipment, capture styling preferences, prepare consent and follow each grooming visit through to pickup.

SHORT ANSWER

Where should I start?

Start with a grooming service menu, then allocate a groomer, required resources and time buffer. Record the pet's individual price and desired style, confirm consent, track progress and handle rebooking. Public self-booking is not live.

STEP-BY-STEP

A practical workflow, without guesswork.

1. Set the service menu and estimated duration

Define full groom, bath or other services with estimated duration and price rules. Individual pet rates can override standard menu pricing in the pilot; communicate the quote before service begins.

2. Allocate groomers and physical resources

Use staff availability together with limited resources such as grooming tables or dryers. The pilot includes scheduling conflict checks and cleanup buffers; validate real equipment capacity for each shop.

3. Agree on the style and handling precautions

Attach a reference photo and agree on coat length, face, ears and tail. Record matting, skin sensitivities, handling concerns and any scope changes before the appointment.

4. Sign for this appointment and record progress

The preview creates an appointment-specific consent and can record preparation, bathing, drying and styling stages. Historical signed versions are retained inside pilot storage, which is not yet approved for real records.

5. Handover and discuss the next visit

Explain the achieved result and aftercare notes. The pilot can record an owner's next-visit request; this is not an automatic confirmed booking or an outbound reminder.
